One minor trade to report, as the San Jose Sharks bolstered their blueline today, acquiring defenseman Niclas Wallin from the Carolina Hurricanes, along with a 5th round pick in this year's draft. In return, the Sharks gave up their second round pick in June.

The Sharks were in need of a veteran defenseman to solidify their blueline, with Marc-Edouard Vlasic out with an injury, and their defense corps pretty thin beyond Dan Boyle, Rob Blake and Doug Murray.
