July 2 - The Flyers sign defenseman Nick Schultz to a one-year, $1.25 million contract, and forwards Zack Stortini and Andrew Gordon to one-year, two-way contracts.

Flyers trade left winger Tye McGinn to the San Jose Sharks for a 2015 third round pick.

Flyers re-sign Jason Akeson to a one-year, two-way contract.

July 1 - Flyers re-sign goaltender Ray Emery to a one-year, $1 million deal and sign veteran goaltender Rob Zepp.

June 30 - Flyers make qualifying offers to forwards Tye McGinn and Jason Akeson, and defensmen Brandon Manning and Erik Gustafsson. They pass up on goalie Cal Heeter.

June 27 - Flyers draft six players (three forwards, three defensemen) in the 2014 NHL Draft. They selected defenseman Travis Sanheim with the 17th overall pick.

June 23 - Flyers acquire winger R.J. Umberger and a 2015 fourth round pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets for left winger Scott Hartnell.

June 18 - Flyers name Gord Murphy assistant coach.

June 13 - Flyers re-sign D Kimmo Timonen to a one-year contract.

June 12 - Flyers sign forward Pierre-Edouard Bellemare to a one-year, two-way contract.

June 4 - Flyers reach an agreement with the Reading Royals to be their ECHL affiliate.

May 16 - Former Flyers defenseman Erik Gustafsson signs with Avengard Omsk of the KHL.

May 7 - Flyers promote Paul Holmgren to team president and Ron Hextall to general manager.
