Mason Breaks Right Pinky Finger
Flyers goalie Steve Mason broke his right pinky finger earlier in the week while playing ball hockey, a source close to the situation confirmed with The Fourth Period on Thursday.
It isn't known whether the injury to Mason's glove hand will hinder him when training camp begins in September.
Mason is the second Flyers player in as many summers to suffer a freak injury. Last summer, captain Claude Giroux sliced his hand when his golf club shattered.
