Rinaldo Injured In First Preseason Game
Flyers left winger Zac Rinaldo was injured in the Flyers preseason debut, a 4-3 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in London, Ontario at the Budweiser Gardens, the home arena of the OHL's London Knights.
Rinaldo took a vicious hit in the second period, and will be day-to-day with an upper-body injury, general manager Paul Holmgren said.
The Flyers got goals from Doug Clarkson, the younger brother of Toronto's David Clarkson, Brayden Schenn and Nick Cousins.
Cousins, a third round pick in 2011, had a goal and assist.
In net for the Flyers were Steve Mason and Anthony Stolarz, both former Knights. Rinaldo is also a former Knight as well.
The Flyers play a split-squad tomorrow. Half of the team will stay in Ontario and travel to Toronto for another game against the Maple Leafs and the other half will host the Washington Capitals.
Both games are at 7 PM.
