Steve Downie Out 7-10 Days; Vincent Lecavalier Returns

The Flyers got a bit of good news and bad news today.

The bad came earlier in the day when the Flyers found out winger Steve Downie would miss seven to 10 days with an upper-body injury. Surely it was going to impact the lineup for tonight's matchup against Columbus.

But the Flyers got some good news. With Downie out of the lineup, Vincent Lecavalier is making a surprise return tonight after being out of the lineup since Nov. 30, missing nine games.

Lecavalier was originally expected to miss three to four weeks with a non-displaced fracture in his back. He wound up only missing 12 days.

Lecavalier has missed a total of 13 games for the Flyers. He has nine goals and five assists in 22 games this season.
