Tye McGinn Out A "Few Weeks" With Broken Orbital Bone

The acquisition of Simon Gagne may have been a reactionary move for the Flyers.

Less than two hours after the trade, general manager Paul Holmgren revealed that rookie winger Tye McGinn will miss a "few weeks" with a broken orbital bone.

McGinn was cut above his right eye in a first period fight with Toronto's Mike Brown. He only played over five minutes in the game.

Both fighters landed a couple nice punches, but Brown's shot during the fight cut McGinn before wrestling him to the ground.

McGinn has three goals and two assists in 16 games with the Flyers. He has been in three fights this season as well.
