Today's discussion on the CFB Panel is the Leafs decision not to trade Tomas Kaberle with insight from Micheal Aldred, Adam Reid, and Commercial Guy.
Brian Burke stated this morning "if these offers are all we get, he is staying put," in regards to the Tomas Kaberle trade watch.
The Tomas Kaberle trade watch is now in effect with only 36 hours to go until this situation concludes.
The Toronto Maple Leafs made a splash today, signing forward Colby Armstrong to a three-year contract worth 9M. Armstrong played 79 games last year scoring 15 goals and 29 points with 61 penalty minutes. The Leafs add more grit and physical presence to their lineup with this signing.
Just looking at the information floating around. Mapleleafs twitter releases rumour of "Bozak, Kulemin and Kaberle for 1st overall and high salaried player." That, in itself, is crazy. But I would have called the Phaneuf trade insane if someone had suggested it prior to it happening.
Speculation circulates a possible deal between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Columbus Blue Jackets that would see Leafs defenseman Tomas Kaberle make his way to Columbus in return for the Blue Jackets fourth overall pick.
