Leafs Land Armstrong

The Toronto Maple Leafs made a splash today, signing forward Colby Armstrong to a three-year contract worth 9M. Armstrong played 79 games last year scoring 15 goals and 29 points with 61 penalty minutes. The Leafs add more grit and physical presence to their lineup with this signing.
Reports suggested the Leafs were hard after Armstrong last year in the deal for Kubina, but it fell through. With Armstrong testing free agent waters, Burke finally lands his man.
Armstrong: "I thought it would be perfect. I have a lot of friends and family up here, so it's kind of central too so there's a lot of things that played out. Can't beat Toronto, it's exciting to come home."
