Marian Hossa to make season debut vs Sharks

Marian Hossa will make his much-anticipated season debut tonight against the San Jose Sharks, in what can only be described as must-see TV.

The Hawks currently ride a 7 win streak; and the Sharks are... well, the regular season Sharks.

So you know they're good.

Hossa will skate on the first line with Patty Kane and Jonathan Toews. In order to fit Hossa in, Kane had to be moved from Right Wing to Left Wing.

It will be interesting to see how he affects the team. They have really good chemistry right now in Chicago and I don't know whether Hossa can help, or whether he's going to hurt them or be a non-factor, no matter how good we know he can be.

Definitely must-see TV though, going to be an epic game.
The Hawks have been ridiculous lately. I was watching their Flames game last week and Edmonton on Saturday, it was like men against boys, they completely dominated, such chemistry. I think he'll bring depth to this team, he's a great two way player and if he can find his form quickly I'm sure he'll help. I'm more interested to know how the Hawks are going to manage to keep this team together in the off-season.
I'm sure glad the Hawks are my second favourite team, they can really do some damage this year. But bottom line is they still need Huet to step up.
These are pretty much as good as the numbers are getting with Huet. 2.16 GAA and .909 SV%, maybe a slightly higher SV% but I wouldn't expect to see his GAA to drop much lower. He's been pretty solid so far but like goalies under the Wings, he just has to play well enough to allow the rest of the team to win the game. He's not really in a position where he needs to steal games like he did for Montreal so they can win, which is fine for the regular season but come the playoffs is where he'll show if he's a liability or not.
If Detroit can win so many cups with Osgood, Chicago at least has a chance with Huey Tongue
Osgood is surprisingly solid in the playoffs. Not sure about Huet.

Niemi is really good though, he could step up if needed and I think he won a championship in Finland (not sure about that one).
Well I don't have the stats in front of me, but from what I remember Huey was good in that one series he played with Washington and whenever he was in the playoffs for the Habs. Niemi is good but he's not quite there yet, from what I've seen.

IMO Huey's going to end up being a pretty good goaltender with a pretty good career when it's all said and done. He's pretty much the French version of Osgood.
I don't remember the stats but for the little stay he had in Washington, Huet put up pretty ridiculous numbers, he was under 2.00 GAA and .940SV% or something along those lines.
