Maple Leafs, Blackhawks talking swap of awful contracts?

Greg Brady of AM 640 in Toronto is reporting that rumors are swirling around the team that Toronto and Chicago may be talking about a deal that would send Jeff Finger to the Blackhawks for Cristobal Huet. He then speculates that the Leafs would flip Huet for something (though this blogger can't fathom who) and the Blackhawks would then target Florida goaltender Tomas Vokoun.

If the Leafs get Huet and then can't flip him, that would be a disaster. I really don't understand this, if Toronto could flip him for something, why wouldn't Chicago just make that trade instead of acquiring Finger?
It makes even less sense because Chicago would probably just waive Finger if it ends up getting Vokoun, meaning they got Huet for nothing. Very strange
I'm guessing the Leafs would be looking for a pick as well as taking on the contract?
Maybe, but Finger himself is still on the books for two more years at only $2 million less.
Just realized that I wrote "Finger himself"
Bogus rumour, no doubt about it. Darren Dreger has shot it down... thank god lol

that's it, you're on Marlies duty.
If I were the Hawks I would definitely get a veteran goaltender just in case, but start Niemi in the playoffs. He's been lights out and has delivered in the playoffs in Finland.

Turco?
Vokoun or Roloson would be good. I wouldn't be comfortable with Turbad in the playoffs.

Ya but at least Turbad is a UFA, and he does have experience.
